  1. Take necessary and convenient clothing as you will have to walk a lot and take part in various activities. Check the weather, wear comfortable shoes, dress appropriately (try a T-shirt with your favorite band, sometimes music is the best starter of the conversation).
  2. It can be difficult if English is not your first language, however, there are many people with the same issues. In fact, you are all in the same boat.
  3. Do not lose your sense of humor. Sometimes awkward moments have to happen and they may give a start to a great friendship.

And it is the best way to learn essentials about your future school, traditions and events.
  5. It is advisable to attend sport events of the school. Such events help to build a school spirit – and you can learn a lot from the websites of the sports teams of the college. It is especially important in the U.S. where college sports are taken really seriously.
  6. Keep making connections in the post-orientation period.
